Don't Be A Wobbler! - No one likes to ride with an unpredictable cyclist, a rider who weaves or swerves. Fortunately, there's a cure for this dangerous condition. Most wobbles comes from upper-body tension. If you can just relax your neck, shoulders, arms and hands while biking, you'll find that you're a lot less likely to weave; and people won't act like you have bad breath when you call and invite them to ride with you. Two tension busters are regularly shrugging your shoulders and bending your elbows. What happens is, as you tighten up during a ride, your shoulders ride higher and lock up close to your neck. Shrugging every 15 minutes or so and relaxing your arms really helps relieve this stress. Remember that the bike will go straight on its own; there's no need to muscle the handlebars. Relax and you'll ride straighter and be much more comfortable (and safer around your friends).
